Sachin Tendulkar

Lal bagh

  • Lal bagh (the red garden) is a botanical garden, with very rare diverse and ancient trees, with a lake, crystal house, ... over 971.000 m2. Although it has some areas where it's not well mantained, other areas has security guards preventing people from entering green zones.

Dahi puri

  • Although dahi puri is a snack especially from the north and as my coworker said, you will find better served. It's another varity of the Pani puri. It is made of a thin, crunchy and round dough (puri) which is made a hole with the thumb in order to pour the liquid. In the case of dahi puri, it is prepared with a chilly sauce on the base, covered with sweetend beaten yogurt (dahi) and in this case, served also with sprouts, parsley, salt, coriander, turmeric, and other spices.

Learning kannada

  • Nothing like trying to learn a new language. In Karnataka all public boards have to be in kannada, a part from english and/or hindi.
  • One day while showering "Channagadirah?" came to my mind. When I asked my roommate what it meant she got scared. It means "How are you" but it can also be a flirtatious remark. And because of this second meaning she thought someone had said it to me through the bathroom window.

Streets of Indiranagar

  • Some might confuse Blore as a green place, but actually its not. From the metro to the PG, and from the PG to yoga classes.

Tailor tailor on the road

  • When your grandmother or mother aren't nearby to fix and amend your clothes, you appreciate more tailors. Very popular in India, even for altering jeans.
